Brand Documentaries

This is the film that does. It's the piece that sits on your homepage, opens a pitch, and plays before you walk on stage, plus the shorter cuts that come out of the same shoot.
Mini Documentaries

Not everything you put out has to be about you. People skip anything that looks like an ad. This one doesn't look like one.
It's a story about a person, a place or a job worth watching, made by you and carrying your name, and it's the piece someone finishes and sends to a friend. Some of them work best as a series.

Who we are

Picking a production company is mostly guesswork. You're choosing off a showreel, and a showreel doesn't tell you whether someone will turn up prepared, ask the right questions, or get a nervous person to say something real on camera.

At Kōdan Studios, we create documentary style films for brands & businesses, anywhere in Australia.

The people you talk to about the film are the people who make it. We spend more time working out what the story actually is than most production companies do, because that's the part that decides whether anyone watches.
